“The astronomical number of angles, the importance of lighting, checking the focus of the VX1000, adjusting the gain, adjusting the shutter speed, adjusting the white balance, etc. are all parameters to be taken into account at every moment during a shoot,” explains Shinpei. Taking the environment into account at all times is also part of the key to a good rendering, from the texture of the road to the consideration of passers-by and traffic, from the search for the best spot for the trick but also for the quality of the photo, but also the relentlessness, the fight against fatigue and hunger, are all challenges to be overcome in order to achieve, sometimes, a victory. *
Making a skateboard video is a lot of work and the dedicated staff give their all to get the best possible result! We often hear “inspired or influenced by the street”… In this case, they are fully part of the street!
Musically, they have their own approach and create an authentic style by working with local beat makers such as: DJ Ken, Living dead, Dj Hal, Architect, Jny the wheel, Akt the Jn, Mantis, Dj duct Dj kiyo, Matias Elichabehere and more!
In parallel to all their projects, the Tightbooth entity is part of a larger system. There is strength in numbers, and TBPR (for Tightbooth Production) knows this. Their group of friends has created a variety of projects that would leave you speechless as they produce things with passion. These include the skate shop “Shred” in Osaka, a distribution network with Kinari distribution, a Tokyoite restaurant “Pizzanista”, as well as the Qucon gallery which hosts a variety of events and openings, an ideal meeting place for Japanese people to discover other effervescent minds.
If Tightbooth started as a project between friends, the progression has been incredible and dazzling. Distributed in dozens of outlets in Japan, they have been putting all their passion and energy into developing the project for several years now.

TIGHTBOOTH FW 2022
For the autumn/winter 22 collection, the brand offers cold weather resistant pieces such as down suits and a tweed version of their classic balloon trousers, technical wind and rain jackets, knitwear, sleeveless fleece waistcoats and more. Visuals by Yoshirotten and London artist Dwayne Coleman are printed on other basics.
The collection is completed by BLOHM shoes, flat-brimmed runner’s caps, knitted ushanka hats, collaborative bags with pake, and a special mention for the umbrellas!
