Battenwear is back this season with a special tenth anniversary collection, SS22. For ten years, the American brand designed by Shinya Hasegawa has been inspired by the surf, outdoor and Californian culture of the last 60 years. The brand has also been promoting comfort and practicality for 10 years, with its collections produced in the United States.
For spring/summer 2022, we’re offering anoraks, t-shirts, shirts, shorts, trousers and a range of accessories in a free and cool spirit. And as luck would have it, the number of years Battenwear has been around for is at the heart of its name – a play on words that the brand’s creator didn’t miss out on, as we can see this detail on some of the pieces in our selection.
To celebrate the brand’s 10th anniversary, we’re featuring pieces with very distinctive colours, fabrics and finishes. The pieces are full of contrasts, from bright colours to khaki shades. The fabrics include cotton poplin, cotton seersucker and a range of waterproof materials.
Different coloured anoraks remind us of the label’s outdoor influences. There are also a number of t-shirts screen-printed Battenwear in reference to the 10th anniversary. We particularly like the Island shirt, which stands out from the other pieces thanks to its floral print, which goes very well with a light-coloured T-shirt. In a different style, the BD scout shirt in stripes and light, breathable seersucker is ideal for warm weather.
Finally, trousers and shorts are available in a wide range of colours and casual styles, perfect for a hike or your best relaxation session by the water!
