Between a niche universe and an appreciated one, focus on the Neighborhood and Dr. Woo ‘s featuring.
Initially manager in a skate shop, it’s a bit by chance that Brian Woo, originally from LA, goes to the world of tattoo. Chaperoned by the famous Mark Mahoney, he discovered a whole new world, linking design and art.
Known under the pseudonym Dr. Woo, his talent and notoriety have earned him collaborations with international brands such as Birkenstock, Converse or Roger Dubuis, which support the influence that tattooing can have within today’s culture.
This collaboration with the Japanese label was a natural fit when analyzing Neighborhood‘s guideline, a serious Japanese look with a rock influence. Mixing realism and geometry, the work of the artist around fine lines and an elaborate work of black fit perfectly with the curves of the pieces of the colla. He thus gives birth to a space-operatic universe subtly tinged with arid colors.
