Ateliers de Nîmes takes its name from the history of denim. This denim fabric, originally made of wool and silk but soon replaced by cotton, was born in the city of Nîmes. Thus, it is a "Made in France" brand. From 1685, it was exported to Italy, England, America, and other countries, becoming this legendary fabric.
Today, Ateliers de Nîmes offers denims designed and created in Nîmes, made in France using Italian fabrics to ensure impeccable quality. Their products combine tradition and modernity to our greatest delight. Their Italian fabrics are then produced in France, making Ateliers de Nîmes the only brand to weave its denim in its own workshop for its own fabrics.
The models of Ateliers de Nîmes:
The brand offers three models of jeans for men and women: the straight cut (DNA20), the slim cut (DNA30), and the carrot cut (DNA40), in three colors: blue, black, and natural.
The manufacturing process of Ateliers de Nîmes jeans:
For each production decision of a jean, the brand always seeks to achieve the best quality while respecting the environment and people. This starts with the use of double-twisted thread, which provides more strength and saves 75% of water compared to an ordinary jean. Secondly, the brand uses artisanal weaving, a traditional technique from Nice, which allows for the production of the most authentic fabric possible. Furthermore, since their threads are not coated, the fabric does not require solvent-based uncoating. Their jeans are assembled in a family business in northern Portugal, and their washing process is eco-friendly, as the jeans are washed either with bio enzymes or with ozone, which saves a large amount of water.
