Polo Ralph Lauren announces the next installment of the re-releases of its famous Stadium collection: Polo Ralph Lauren Indigo Stadium. This capsule is inspired by the iconic models of the Stadium brand, celebrating the sporting spirit of the 1992 Summer Olympic Games. For this last update, Polo Ralph Lauren decided to highlight natural indigo dyeing, a highly prized and appreciated method of coloring in Asia. The indigo collection obviously echoes the vintage movement, in our write-up: “Former Polo Ralph Lauren Collection, Between Clothing and History. “we trace the history of some of the brand’s capsule collections.
That’s why Ralph Lauren Polo, whose latest pieces include sweaters, caps and a magnificent pair of pants can be found on “The New Polo Ralph Lauren Collection“, chose to shoot this collection in the Japanese countryside. The 6 garments in this capsule can be seen on the famous musician and dancer B Boy Taisuke, who lends himself to the model’s game. True to Polo Stadium’s historic design, it features the graphic elements that have made the range so successful, such as the “Polo Stadium 1992” and “P-Wing” logos. These emblems are modernised thanks to the indigo treatment, which brings a traditional touch to a very sportswear collection, a risky but very successful bet for Polo Ralph Lauren.
Among the pieces in this collection we find a popover jacket with a dyed and washed hood for a Tie & Die effect with indigo, the same treatment for the bob and sweatshirt decorated with a P-Wing print. A windbreaker jacket and detachable tracksuit pants on the sides are indigo dyed without washing.
The Indigo Stadium capsule will be available in limited distribution at the end of September on our website and in our Bordeaux stores.
