Thirty-two years after its first creation, the American label is attacking our palates with its first restaurant that pays tribute to the Polo tradition. It all began in Chicago, when what we call the Ralph Lauren Universe decided to set up its first restaurant next to its largest store.
Revisiting the classics of American gastronomy, it will become the spearhead and culinary signature of its other restaurants. You’ll also be able to enjoy Ralph’s cocktail mastery, with fine wines and other beverages in every Ralph bar and restaurant.
RL grill bar
Now a must-visit restaurant, RL Grill Bar reflects the vision of the American designer with a decor that reflects his "modern city-club" spirit. Its rich and warm interior of mahogany woodwork and artwork accentuates the restaurant's elegance and immerses us in his “ambitious” lifestyle.
Conveniently located at 115 East Chicago Avenue, you'll be able to enjoy the label's largest store next door on Michigan Avenue, so you can enjoy a shopping spree followed by a taste of R-L's favorite dishes. Enjoy the Ralph Burger with a shrimp cocktail at the polo bar, or other American classics such as sandwiches and pastries.
The Polo bar
Located in New York City, the Clubroom Polo Bar welcomes up to 16 people per reservation in a very private setting in order to best meet the expectations of its discerning clientele. Indeed, the Polo bar offers customized menus with the best dishes and an impressive mastery of the cocktail, as well as precious wines, not to mention its Classic Cheesecake which is one of their must-have desserts.
The staff is attentive and masters the sense of detail. As for the atmosphere, a certain equestrian charm emerges, perfectly representing the RL state of mind: the wooden furnishings, the patinated leather benches and chairs, as well as numerous paintings featuring the Polo add a unique identity to the label. This is where the New York restaurant wants to keep a memorable moment of intimacy with its customers.
Ralph's, the Parisian restaurant
Ralph's restaurant is now a must in St Germain des Prés, the left bank district of Paris. Indeed, the creator Ralph's ambition is to establish an elegance within the restaurant that is specific to the neighborhood and to bring back a typically American culinary know-how in order to make it the best restaurant in Paris in its category.
To achieve this, he carefully selects the dishes on his menu as well as his ingredients, some of which come from the Ralph Lauren region. One of the restaurant's highlights is, for example, the classic Ralph's Burger which stands out for its balance of refined flavors and crispy bacon. Enjoy a succulent shrimp cocktail with it to discover the culinary potential of the American label.
The interior of the restaurant is very much inspired by the 1940's and really illustrates the world of the Polo tradition with its sturdy wooden beam foundation and rough limestone. The furnishings such as the seats with blue and white leather cushions, the iron sconces, the candles and the large hurricane lamps create a romantic and rustic setting. A definite must-see address if you are in Saint-Germains des prés.
Ralph's coffee & bar
The American label has also moved to London's Mayfair district to open its new English club-style bar and café: Ralph's coffee. The place shows Ralph Lauren's admiration for the London style and lifestyle with a decoration that pays tribute to the designer's equestrian sensibility.
It has the English club feel of the New York restaurant with saddle leather seating, dark wood paneling and a brass-topped bar. It is in a rather intimate atmosphere with only 24 seats and 12 seats at the bar that you can enjoy your snacks with their cocktails, or their sandwiches and pastries such as their unavoidable cheesecakes in the Mayfair district of London.
